What should I expect from my visit?
You will meet with a counselor and a medical professional will perform your pregnancy test. The pregnancy test requires a urine sample in order to detect the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced in women after conception. If the results are inconclusive, or at the medical professional’s discretion, a blood pregnancy test may be required.
What if my pregnancy test is positive?
If your pregnancy test is positive, we will discuss your options with you. If your last menstrual cycle was at least 6 weeks ago, an ultrasound may be performed to provide you with information about the status of the pregnancy.
If you are planning to carry the pregnancy to term, a brief prenatal check up will be done by one of our medical professionals.
