Talitha Phillips, CEO
Talitha joined the WPC as a volunteer abortion recovery counselor in 2000 and was hired as Director in 2001. She was promoted to Executive Director in 2004, when the organization achieved its medical clinic status. Prior to joining the WPC, she worked at the United States Senate in Washington D.C. She is a certified labor and post-partum doula, a certified abortion recovery counselor, and serves on the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce’s Health Committee. As CEO, Talitha has been working to equip pregnancy centers in Africa with the knowledge, skills, and supplies of the WPC, and has made visits to pregnancy centers and orphanages in Uganda and Zambia. Talitha received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication from Pepperdine University.
Emily Keith, Center Director
Emily joined the WPC as a volunteer in 2001 and was hired in 2003 to develop a pregnancy prevention program. She began working in the field as a model and spokesperson for the Family Research Council’s national abstinence campaign. In 2006, she was promoted to Center Director and is now overseeing the WPC’s general operations. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Education from Ohio Wesleyan University. Prior to joining the WPC, she worked as an actress, tutored children through the Excel Tutoring Program in Los Angeles, and worked as a substitute teacher for Options for Youth Charter High School.
James J. M. Moran, M.D., Medical Director
Dr. Moran has volunteered his medical expertise at the WPC since its foundation in 1977. He accepted the role as Medical Director during the Center’s conversion to a medical clinic in 2004. Dr. Moran earned his Doctor of Medicine ( M.D.) at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1966 and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center in 1973. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology. He has been in private practice since 1973 and is a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at USC School of Medicine. He has privileges at St. John’s Hospital & Health Center, Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.
Florence Wang, M.D., Clinic Supervisor
Florence began volunteering at the WPC as a Client Advocate in the
Fall of 2007 and joined the staff as Clinic Supervisor soon after.
Florence completed her medical degree at New York University School of
Medicine in 2005 and continued with her medical residency training in
New York City and then in Los Angeles. She joins the staff in
overseeing clinic operations and providing medical services.
Sharon Dittrich, NP, Charge Nurse
Sharon received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She practiced as an Emergency Room Nurse at the UCLA Medical Center for 11 years. Following her work in the ER, she was an occupational nurse for 15 years. Sharon joined the WPC staff in 2003 to assist in the medical clinic conversion. She then served as Clinic Supervisor for 3 years. She is trained in limited obstetric ultrasound and specializes as an adult nurse practitioner.
Stefanie Peterson, RN, Charge Nurse
Stefanie Peterson joined the staff at WPC in 2005 as a staff nurse. She is trained in ultrasonography and provides medical care and ultrasounds for clients. Stefanie received her nursing training at Modesto Junior College in Modesto, California. She began her career in 1993 with the adult population in an acute facility. She later found her niche in the neonatal intensive care in 1998. Stefanie has traveled to many different states, cities and hospitals working in the neonatal ICU. She currently works at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in the NICU where she has remained for over 6 years.
Debe Bondar, Client Services Director
Debe joined the WPC in early 2004 as a volunteer Client Advocate and was hired as Office Manager that summer. In 2005, she became Client Services Director where she continues to provide lay options counseling. Prior to joining the WPC, she worked as a professional driving instructor where she expressed her passion for equipping young people to make better choices for their futures through education and encouragement. Debe received her AA in Liberal Arts in 1998 and has a Bachelor of Arts-pending at California State University at Sacramento in English and Russian. In 1999, Debe completed a certificate program at Moscow State Linguistics University. She has also participated in two humanitarian missions to orphanages in Far East Russia where she was able to use her Russian speaking skills.
Jenny Wilson, Reality Check Coordinator
Jenny joined the WPC as a volunteer in 2006 and was hired as Reality Check Program Coordinator in January 2007. Jenny received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Cal State Northridge University and obtained her Master of Arts degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in the spring of 2006. During her sophomore year at CSUN, she studied overseas at the University of Brighton, England for six months. Jenny also co-lead a mission’s trip with high school students to Costa Rica in the summer of 2005. Prior to coming on board with WPC, Jenny worked as a youth intern for junior high & high school students for several years at Calvary Church of Pacific Palisades. Jenny has a passion for young people and hopes to educate teens on how to live a full and healthy life.
Emily Mabrey, Medical Clinic Administrative Assistant
Emily began volunteering as a Client Advocate at the WPC in February of 2007 and was soon after hired as an Administrative Assistant at the Medical Clinic. She oversees the general operations of the clinic and serves as an assistant to the CEO. Emily received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. During her degree program she volunteered and served as an intern at a Pregnancy Clinic much like the WPC. She is currently working toward a second degree in nursing at Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles.
Brie Savard, Resource Center Administrative Assistant
Brie joined the WPC as a volunteer Client Advocate in January of 2008 and was soon after hired as an Administrative Assistant at the Resource and Support Center. She oversees general operations of the Center and serves as an assistant to the Director. Brie is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in Education and Family Studies, as well as a minor in French. She hopes to use the skills she has acquired to serve in French speaking countries of Africa, empowering women to make healthy decisions about their lives, their families, and their bodies. Brie is excited to be serving at the WPC, an organization that she so greatly believes in.
Lara Nagle, Client Advocate
Lara began volunteering at the Westside Pregnancy Clinic in May of 2006 and was hired as a staff Client Advocate in December of 2007. She serves as a peer counselor, advocating for the needs of clients, as well as providing them resources and referrals. Lara also aids in the training of volunteer Client Advocates and acts as an assistant to the Client Services Director. Prior to joining the WPC, she received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Mount Saint Mary’s college in 2002.
Christie Blom, MPH, Health Educator
Christie joined the WPC in 1994 as a volunteer counselor and became the Center Director in 1995. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education with a minor in Women’s Studies. Christie received her Master’s in Public Health in the spring of 1994 from California State University at Northridge. She currently helps coordinate programs and oversees grant-writing for the WPC.
