This is my mommy’s first Mother’s Day as the mother of two. This day almost didn’t happen for me, because when my parents first found out about me, they weren’t sure how they could afford to keep me. They were already struggling to care for my half sister, and they didn’t have family support. They seriously considered having an abortion until a friend told them about WPC.
WPC not only helped make our Mother’s Day possible by helping mommy give me life, they also helped mommy and daddy with basic medical services, including an ultrasound telling them that I was a little girl! They continued to help us through mommy’s pregnancy and are still in our lives today. We go to WPC for parenting classes, counseling, baby supplies and ongoing support.
I am so thankful that mommy decided to go to WPC. They’ve lovingly invested in our lives, connected us to a local church, and encouraged us to give back by helping others in similar situations. As a result, I get to experience this big, beautiful world. I’m thankful that I get to know and grow up with my wonderful mommy, who loves me so much.
